More than 160 countries have visa-free entry to both Bali and other parts of Indonesia. This is a free visa stamp without any need for an application. Just go to the immigration office and they will provide you with the stamp. This is valid for up to 30 days.

Obtaining a Visa Upon Entry
A Visa On Arrival (VOA) allows travellers to obtain a visa once they have arrived at their destination, instead of getting one beforehand. This type of visa is available in certain countries, depending on the traveller’s nationality. VOA permits are issued in the form of a stamp or sticker placed into the holder’s passport. These visas are typically valid for a limited period of time, usually 30 days.
The free visa is only for a period of 30 days and cannot be extended, hence if you intend to stay longer then the visa on arrival (VOA) is the way to go. The VOA will cost you $35 USD and it can be extended for an extra 30 days, taking the total length of stay to 60 days.
